Tart Pie Dough

1 3/4 cups (250gr) flour
1/2 cup (125gr) butter
1 egg
1tbs (6gr) sugar
1/2 tsp (3gr) salt
2 1/2 tbs (40ml) cold water

Mix flour with butter, egg, sugar and salt. little by little, draw the flour into the center and work the dough with your fingertips to a grainy texture. Add the cold water and mix it in until the dough begins the hold together. Using the palm of your hand, push the dough away from you 4 or 5 times until it is smooth. Roll the dough into ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to use.
PS. it can be kept in the refrigerator for a week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
